Happy Blog Day!

Well, this is just good timing for me! Today is Blog Day, a day to get to know other bloggers and share your favorite blogs with your readers. I was planning on doing this very thing anyway! I’ll be honeymooning in Hawaii for a couple of weeks (I’m getting married Saturday…yay me!) and won’t be making any more updates till I get back. So be sure to check back here about mid-September. I plan to have some Hawaii-inspired recipes to post!

Food Blogs. I’m obsessed. Food blogs, cookbooks, those free sample recipes you get in the mail now and then…I love them. Here are a couple of my favorite food blogs.

Simply Recipes - I love Simply Recipes. I’ve probably cooked up more recipes from this site than any other, next to epicurious.com. The photography is amazing. Thank goodness for keyboard protectors…I drool every time I visit the site!

My Husband Hates Veggies - Okay, I admit it. I love the name of this blog! That alone drew me in. I just discovered it recently when I saw a recipe mentioned on BlogHer. Again, fantastic photography. I’ll be trying several of these recipes in the near future.

Other Blogs. Of course, I don’t spend all my time in the kitchen. Here some blogs that are so cute, they make me smile even on the worst days!

Cute Overload! :) - The name says it all. But really, overload? I don’t think you can ever have too much cute!

I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER? - This is cute + humor. People “tag” images with the most bizarre phrases. Caution: Beverages may fly out your nose looking at this site!

Kawaii Not - “Kawaii” is Japanese for “cute,” while “not” is English for “dripping with sarcasm.” The end result is a cute, but twisted, web comic. Enjoy!
