Source: Dawn DeMeo With the warm weather here, it’s hard finding the motivation to cook a decent dinner. I’ve been making lots of salads. This dressing is very easy to make, and it doubles as a marinade. I often marinate a couple of chicken breasts in some of the dressing, grill them up and throw them on the salad. It’s a great mid-week dinner, and you don’t heat your kitchen up making it. My First Meat Cake

By now many of you have seen the Meat Cake made famous by Black Widow Bakery. If you haven’t seen it yet, you must check it out. I admit my first reaction was less than flattering, but I was so impressed with her creativity! I showed my fiancé the site, thinking he’d find it as humorous as I did. Smoked Paprika Roasted Chicken

I made a couple of these for the Groton Road Race this year. They didn’t last long! Source: Simply Recipes Ingredients 2 tablespoons smoked paprika 2 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon softened butter 2 teaspoons garlic salt (or 1 teaspoon salt plus 1 teaspoon garlic powder) 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 whole 4-5 pound roasting chicken Directions Preheat oven to 325°F.
