Carrabba’s Style Herb Mix for Bread Oil

Updated There are two things I love about Carrabba’s: their manicotti and the herb mix they serve with their bread. I found a recipe that come very close to this herb mix on Recipezaar.com. I’ve made a few changes since finding it. For one thing, this is so good you’re going to want extra. I quadrupled the recipe, yielding about a cup of the mix when finished. Updated A breakfast place I used to frequent had samples of a pumpkin spread made from a mix. It was amazing! Served with graham crackers it tastes like you’re eating pumpkin cheesecake. I grabbed a box of the mix and decided I wasn’t paying that much for what was essentially a blend of spices with a small can of pumpkin (you had to supply your own cream cheese). Bean Dip

Source: Unknown Ingredients 1 tub sour cream 1 package taco mix 1 can refried beans 1 jar salsa 1 tomato, diced 1 bunch scallions, chopped 1 can sliced black olives 1 package mozzarella cheese, shredded Directions Mix sour cream with taco mix powder. Spread refried beans in bottom of pan. Spread mixture on top of beans. Layer remaining ingredients on top of mixture. Serves 12. Serve with tortilla chips.

Crispy Coconut Chicken Fingers

Source: Cayman Designs Ingredients 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes ½ cup flour ½ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon black pepper ¼ teaspoon garlic powder 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1-inch strips 1 egg, lightly beaten ? cup butter or margarine, melted Directions Mix coconut, flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder in medium bowl. Dip chicken strips into egg, then coat with coconut mixture. Place in a shallow baking pan. Drizzle with melted butter. Piña Colada Dipping Sauce

Source: Cayman Designs Ingredients 4 ounces piña colada mix 3 ounces sour cream 3 ounces crushed pineapple, drained Directions Mix well and enjoy. Makes 1 batch. Serve with Crispy Coconut Chicken Fingers (see recipe).
